“I believe that what makes my expression truly my own is the way I keep my forms very simple, while often allowing the raw clay to remain visible in a way that highlights its strengths, or by working with rougher surfaces as a contrast to the clean expression – for example by leaving the fingerprints from the process visible.

I often combine something deeply historical with something hypermodern, which works well, as it is not always easy to distinguish between the two.”
